  1. COMMUNITY POLICING/ ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR ISSUES

The statistics for June were circulated.

OWL do organise courses on ‘cold calling’

Members agreed to find out the details and to try and arrange one for the community.

Councillor Mrs Williams highlighted the fact there had been instances of anti-social behaviour by the Community House with youths throwing apples at houses. Councillor N Williams agreed to get the Police to look through the CCTV footage.

Councillor N Williams highlighted other items of ‘good news’ -overall the incidents of ASB were down; there had been an organised football match between a girls ‘under 12 ‘team and a boys ‘under 11’ team; and the road safety signs for the school have been delivered. The issues on Forge Road were still ongoing.

899. PLANNING APPLICATIONS. 

The following Planning Applications were considered at the Meeting:

P/2018/0535-Demolition of chapel and outline application for the erection of 1 no. detached dwelling-Salem Chapel, Pisgah Hill, Pentre Broughton, Wrexham

-no comments/observations.

P/2018/0571-Continued storage of caravans (previously granted under code no. P/2013/0097)-Ferndale Garden Centre, Berse Road, Caego, Wrexham.

-no comments/observations.

900. MEMBERS QUESTIONS/ ANY OTHER URGENT BUSINESS. 

1- The Chair thanked the helpers and volunteers who had made the July event held in the Memorial Hall such a success.-looking at organising a Christmas 2- Councillors Derbyshire and Prince reported back on the success of the community clean up

3- It was agreed that the Chair, Councillors N Williams, D Jarvis and P Coops should meet with the vicar to review the Order of Service for Remembrance Sunday.

4- The Clerk gave an update on the Cemetery.

5- He also reported that the advert for the vacancy of Community Councillor was on the Council’s website and notice board.

6- Members agreed, that due to the number of pressing issues that the Council was faced with, to decline, and return, the grant for a Community

The Clerk reminded Members that the next Meeting of the Community Council would be on Wednesday 12th September at the Memorial Centre, Brynteg.
