897. LED LIGHTING AND FINANCING
Jones Lighting had carried out a comprehensive survey of the Council’s Lighting Stock including going out to potential manufacturers. Potentially huge energy savings (possibly as high as 82%)
Life span of lights should be around 20years. Usually get at least a 12 year warranty which covers most things (excludes vandalism).
The Council is planning to bid for the Welsh Governments Invest to Save Initiative through SALIX which will provide an interest free loan—repayable over 7 years. This loan should be more than covered by energy savings
Jones lighting will provide the Council with a copy of the survey and help with paperwork.
