Brynteg War Memorial

Welcome to Broughton Community Council’s Website…

The Community Council is made up of 16 councillors who, as local residents, have conscientious regard for the community they serve. The community of Broughton is split into four wards, Brynteg, New Broughton (New Broughton & Caego), Gwenfro (Southsea)  and Bryn Cefn (Pentre Broughton, Moss and Lodge). Each ward is represented by four councillors, who represent their own ward but also work collectively when making decisions to ensure local budgets are spent as wisely as possible and in the best interest of all residents.

Community councils are the first line of local government, and therefore the nearest to the community it serves.

It is our aim to be as transparent and open to communication to our constituents as possible. On this website, you will find the contact information for your community councillors and the Clerk, who also acts as the Council’s Responsible Finance Officer. He is employed by the Council to provide independent, objective and professional support and advice.

You will also find the agendas and minutes of our meetings and other important information. In the news section, you will be able to find out about the Council’s priorities, projects, events and issues affecting the community.

We would encourage you to keep us informed of any events or information which you would like to promote.

To stay informed and up to date, please visit our site regularly.
