Following the latest Government guidelines regarding recreation and play areas including MUGA’s could everyone in the community, please be aware that all are now officially closed to the public. Not all play areas can be locked, but the new rules still apply. We are working hard on getting signage up at each of the relevant parks etc., although the new rules apply with immediate effect.

Wrexham Council has taken advice from the local Police, who have confirmed that they will be dispersing and possibly fining people who do not pay attention to the rules or signs regarding the recreation areas.

The Coronavirus (COVID 19) can continue to be contagious on a solid area for some time after it has been expelled through a sneeze or cough. The nature of a play area is such that hands are continually in contact with some surface and trying to keep a child from then touching their face to stop the infection spreading is near impossible. Recreation areas are designed to be a place of congregation, which the main reason the Government have set these guidelines.
