Certification and Approval of the Annual Accounts for 2019-20
Regulation 15(1) of the Accounts and Audit (Wales) Regulations 2014 (as amended) requires that Responsible Financial Officer of Broughton Community Council signs and dates the Statement of Accounts and certify that it properly represents Broughton Community Council’s income and expenditure for the year. The Regulations required that this be completed by 30 June 2020.
The Responsible Financial Officer has prepared the accounts
and sent them to the Council’s Internal Auditor. The Responsible Financial
Officer will sign and certify the statement of accounts when the immediate
pressures of the COVID-19 outbreak have subsided.
Regulation 15(2) of the Accounts and Audit (Wales)
Regulations 2014 (as amended) requires that, following the certification by the
Responsible Financial Officer referred to above, the Council must approve the
accounts. The Regulations require that this be completed by 30 June 2020.
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Broughton Community Council has not been able to meet to approve the accounts and will do so when the immediate pressures of the COVID-19 outbreak have subsided.
