Apologies for absence were received from Cllrs. A. Lovett, T.A. Edwards, B. Roxburgh, D. Jarvis and C. Williams.

- DECLARATIONS OF PERSONAL INTEREST
There were no Declarations of Personal Interest.

The minutes were accepted as a true and accurate record.
Matters Arising
Page 2 – Defibrillators
The Clerk would request Mega Electrical to connect the defibrillator to the lamp column adjacent to Black Lane School.
Page 2 – Speed Signs
The Clerk informed Members that permission for the erection of columns for the speed signs was awaited from Wrexham CBC.
Page 3 – Consecration
A discussion took place in relation to the cancellation of the consecration ceremony. The Clerk informed Members that the plaques had been prepared. The Chair pointed out that , by the time the consecration was re-arranged, a number of councillors who had given many years’ service to the community council would no longer be on the Council.
It was agreed that the plaques be erected as planned.
- FINANCE
Summary of Payments made and Income Received
Members agreed the information.
Outstanding Invoices for Payment (Copies of Invoices supplied )
Members authorised the Clerk to pay the invoices.
Members agreed the Clerk’s Expenses as submitted.
- PLANNING APPLICATIONS
Front Porch Extension, 18 Southsea Road, Southsea (in Retrospect)
Members supported the application.
- CORRESPONDENCE
(i) Monthly Crime Statistics – Noted.
(ii) Email from Deryck Evans, Audit Wales, giving details of the timescales and process for submission of the 2021-22 Audit . – Noted.
(iii) Email from Peter Nicholls, requesting advice on suitable land for an Archery Club. It was agreed to defer this until after the Council elections.
(iv) Letter from Llangollen International Eisteddfod, requesting financial support – Noted.
(v) Letter from Scottish Power. Given that Council had agreed to switch suppliers due to the increased costs of Scottish Power energy, Members felt that this was irrelevant.
- MEMBER REPORTS
(i) Events Insurance – The Clerk stated that he had contacted Zurich Municipal, the Council’s insurers. He confirmed that no additional insurance was required in terms of public and personal liability, given the nature of the events, Environmental Clean up days etc. planned.
It was, however, suggested that first aid boxes be purchased for each of the four wards.
(ii) It was suggested that, following the forthcoming election, consideration be given to the purchase of village notice boards.
(iii) Members gave updates on events planned for the Queen’s Jubilee :
- Brynteg – Sunday Lunch
- Bryn Cefn – Differing events each day
- New Broughton – Potential events on New Broughton Recreation Ground
- Gwenfro – A Barbeque, games etc. on the Friday
(iv) An update was given in relation to the forthcoming elections. There would be the need for two community council elections, one in the Brynteg and one in the New Broughton wards. There would also be one vacancy in the Gwenfro ward.
All councillors were wished good luck in relation to both the Community and Borough Council elections
Particular reference was made to Cllrs. F. Prince, D, Jarvis and B. Roxburgh who were not standing for re-election. All three were thanked for the long and outstanding service to the community council.
