Coronavirus (COVID-19) Broughton Community Council

Please note that we will be updating this page regularly.

We are aware of the concerns about coronavirus (COVID 19) and how this may affect the people of the community. Broughton Community Council set up this page to support and inform everyone on the ongoing situation.

The community response during the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation has been amazing, with individuals, groups and organisations coming forward on the ground, and through social media, to offer support: community spirit and resilience at its best.

It is clear that the most effective delivery mechanism for support lies in local neighbourhood groups responding to requests for support from their family, friends and neighbours – local people helping local people. To support these efforts across the entire district, Broughton Community Council is working closely with numerous groups including Local Council, AVOW, Facebook groups, Voluntary groups, Community Partnerships and individuals.

Please ensure that you follow the Government guidelines regarding Coronavirus (COVID 19).

  • Only go outside for food, health reasons or work (but only if you cannot work from home)
  • If you go out, stay 2 metres (6ft) away from other people at all times
  • Wash your hands as soon as you get home

Do not meet others, even friends or family.

You can spread the virus even if you don’t have symptoms.
