What’s on at Community House
Sunday
Kitchen is used by young man with special needs due to trauma injuries he is learning to cook family meals.
Meeting room is used 9.30 to 12.30 by local craft group who make jewellery, they demonstrate their skills at community events. The cafe is used for training courses, as needed.
Monday

Tuesday
Cafe open 9am to 2pm, CAB 9.30 to 12.30 with over three hundred individual users since it started. This well used service is paid for by Broughton Community. Digital inclusion courses for all kinds of technology, allows students to learn at their own speed.
A service user and his carer come and help in the cafe, this allows him to socialise with customers and keeps him engaged and active.
Gypsy Traveller basic skills sessions 5.30 to 7.30 every Tuesday Evening
Wednesday
Cafe open, young lady with special needs comes on her own to help in the cafe, experience gained with us has helped her to gain work in Water-world cafe, 4 other people volunteer during that session.
6 to 8 pm – a group of young mums are taught craft, cookery and are mentored by older ladies. One of the young women volunteers in the cafe and has recently become a director of the Company.
Thursday
Craft Ladies 9.30 to 12.30.
Luncheon Club 11.30 to 2.pm, young lady learns to cook and helps to serve the food.
4 to 6pm the Building is used as drop in for CF youth activities, these involve cooking and Health related topics
Friday
Cafe open, 9.30 to 12.30 One Stop shop financial advice, Reach for Work support in looking for work, access to new laptops with wifi are available to local residents.
Saturday
Local group play bingo.
Added to this we have 8 laptops, and high speed wifi available for community use and by CF One Stop Shop and Reach for Work, also for computer literacy and digital inclusion courses. Support, and sign posting given by volunteers if no-one else available.
The building is used for various training courses both accredited and non-accredited.
Our Community catering is provided from the building, the community house is the base from which we hold our community events, we take part in many partnership events with PCSO, Clwyd Alyn Housing, the local history group and others.
